About the event

Friends and Families,
Our first fundraising gala, "The Galazo," was held on March 5, 2022, at Chicago Theater Works. On that special evening, YSI families, friends, and supporters came together with one shared goal—to create positive change for children throughout Chicago.

Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended and donated, the YSI Foundation has been able to provide free soccer development opportunities for children and meaningful employment for young adults through our mentorship program.

As the cost of hosting The Galazo has increased over the years, we have transformed this annual fundraiser into what we now call the YSI Soccer Festival. Once a year, our community gathers at Alcott Elementary School for a day filled with soccer, fun, and giving back.

The Soccer Festival features a variety of activities for children and families, including soccer games and challenges, music, food, raffles, and community entertainment. It is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together, celebrate our shared passion for soccer, and support a meaningful cause.

Every donation and all proceeds from the event directly benefit the YSI Foundation, helping us continue to provide free summer soccer camps for children who might not otherwise have the opportunity to participate.
