Mission
Our mission is to make the beautiful game of soccer accessible to all children, especially those whose families may not have the financial resources to afford quality training and development opportunities. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive through the game while experiencing the lifelong physical, social, and personal benefits that soccer provides.
Our progress to date
Thanks to the generosity of the families of YSI Futbol Club, we have been able to provide children with the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful game of soccer, regardless of their financial circumstances.
Through our partnership with Centro Romero, we have proudly offered free summer soccer camps to more than 60 children each year since 2022. These camps are held annually from mid-July through mid-August at Chicago Futsal Academy or Hayt Elementary School in Rogers Park.
Together, the dedicated staff of Centro Romero and the coaches of YSI Futbol Club share a common passion: to provide children with a safe, positive, and enriching environment where they can learn, grow, and experience the joy of soccer—even when their families may not have the financial means to participate in organized sports.
We are excited to continue this program for another summer and are deeply grateful for the support of our YSI families, donors, and community partners. Your generosity makes this opportunity possible, and with your continued support, we hope to inspire and impact the lives of many more children for years to come.
