Mission
“Our mission is to make soccer — along with the positive life and health benefits it brings — accessible to children throughout
Chicago. We focus on supporting those who lack the financial resources to afford proper training.
“Through the YSI Foundation, and thanks to the generosity of donors and sponsors, we have been able to provide free soccer
development for children and provide meaningful employment opportunities for youth through our mentorship program.
Our progress to date
Thanks to the generosity of many, we have been able to support a large group of immigrant and refugee kids in Chicago. Continuing our collaboration with Centro Romero, whose staff has shared the great enthusiasm there is among last year's participants and those eager to join this year.
The camps will run from the middle of July to the middle of August at The Chicago Futsal Academy, and we are expecting to reach a registration well above the group of eighty that we did last year.
Additionally, we are pleased to announce that we’re at the beginning of developing a collaboration with Refugee One, an organization serving refugee families on the Northside. We will be offering Refugee One kids the opportunity to join Centro Romero kids to play together.
We are excited about our second summer of YSI Foundation soccer camp programming, and we will update you again at the end of the summer.
